Accessibility statement
SafeReach Technologies is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology.
Conformance target
This site is designed and built to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. Level AA is the standard referenced by Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and by most public university and state agency procurement requirements.
We consider this site substantially conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA. Substantially conformant means most of the site meets the standard, with the exceptions noted below.
What we have done
- All text and interface colour combinations meet or exceed a 4.5:1 contrast ratio against their background
- Every image carries descriptive alternative text; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology
- The entire site is operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator on every interactive element
- A skip link lets keyboard and screen-reader users bypass navigation and go straight to the main content
- Headings follow a logical order and are used for structure rather than for visual sizing
- Form fields have persistent, programmatically associated labels — not placeholder-only labels
- Page content reflows without horizontal scrolling down to a 320-pixel viewport width and at 200% zoom
- Motion and transitions are suppressed for anyone whose system requests reduced motion
- Text is not presented as images, and page language is declared for screen-reader pronunciation
Known exceptions
Screenshots of the SafeReach Connect dashboard and of our kiosk survey screens are included as illustrative images. The information they show is described in the surrounding text and in each image's alternative text, but the screenshots themselves are not machine-readable. If you need this information in another format, contact us and we will provide it.
Third-party content we link to — including safestorageutah.org and timeanddistance.org — is assessed separately and is not covered by this statement.
Assessment approach
Conformance was assessed through a combination of automated testing and manual review, including keyboard-only navigation, screen-reader review, zoom and reflow testing, and programmatic contrast-ratio calculation of every colour pair in the site's palette.
Accessibility of our hardware
Our locker kiosks are a separate product from this website and are evaluated separately. Kiosk screens use plain language, are available in English and Spanish, and are designed for a short, low-friction interaction. If your organization requires a formal accessibility evaluation of the kiosk hardware or software for a procurement process, contact us and we will work through your requirements with you.
Requesting a VPAT
A Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) documents how a product conforms to accessibility standards, and many institutional buyers require one. If your procurement process needs a VPAT or an Accessibility Conformance Report for this website, the SafeReach Connect dashboard, or the kiosk software, request it at the address below and we will prepare it.
Tell us about a problem
If you run into a barrier on this site, we want to hear about it — it is the fastest way for us to fix it. Please tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology or browser you were using.
